About Me
Hello. My name is Fred Quayenortey. I am a 21 year old Animation and Graphic Design student studying at Rutgers University. I am currently a board member of the Rutgers Animation Club at Rutgers New Brunswick and a general member of The Animation Alliance at Rutgers Camden, each striving to produce an animated short film each year for Rutgers Day! As a senior my main goals lie within my animated short film and my Design thesis project. In addition, I am active within the Animators Guild as well as participating in gallery exhibitions and juggling any commissions that come my way. Being a part of these groups and various projects have given me unique experiences within animation.
Within the work I do I am very passionate about creating and animating characters. Giving life to them through movement. I have loved animated stories since I was young and being able to bring these characters and their stories to life is something I strive to do. My biggest professional and personal accomplishments lie within the artistic events and pursuits I have engaged in. "Raising Spirits" and "Fishing For Stars" are two group films made by the Rutgers Animation Club that I am very happy to have been a part of. Animation is largely a group expedition and being able to complete these projects were feats of great communication and collaboration. The same can be said for the LOZ Re-animated Series which had over 40 artists collaborating. I have co curated the "New Wave Showcase" at Mason Gross Galleries and participated in the Deux Wave x Philanimator group "Covers on Covers" show.
Right now, I am looking for opportunities to grow. I am frequently collaborating with colleagues and seek an internship at an animation studio in order to further my creative practice. If you would like to reach me, my email is fredkq1@gmail.com
